As often as they become available a fossil, rock or mineral sample collected by a member of the SW branch.

Date:	April, 2003
Description:	This fossil was found loose in the ground with the operculum still in place. As it dried out is was possible to prise off the operculum and extract the hardened filling which shows a perfect impression of th einside of the shell. The attachment points on shell and operculum for the closing muscle can be clearly seen in the photo.
