Your comments, suggestions and submissions are very welcome but please take a few moments to read the following before ear bashing the Webmaster. The role of webmaster is always up for grabs should you want it.
General comments on the branch pages:
No the Webmaster can't spell and this html package doesn't have a spell checker.
The pages are designed for a 1280 x 1024 definition desktop as this seems to be the current standard preset for TFT monitors. If you are using 1280 x 1024 but find the layout a bit strange, try closing any favourites or history side bars you have open in your browser. I have tried to be as accommodating as possible. I tried it at 1024 x 768 but it looked awful and I tried making it autosize but that was even worse!
Submissions received have the originators name attached. If you want to discuss the content of submissions with the originator then send a request to the membership secretary who will pass it on to the originator and leave it up to them to contact you. Email addresses, phone number etc. are private and will not be given out by the Webmaster under any circumstances.
Every time any of these pages are modified or new pages are added the Webmaster checks them for consistency after they have been uploaded. If you find a major glitch then please try it again and make sure your web browser is set to verify the page at each visit. If there is still a problem then send an email to the Webmaster and it'll get checked.
Submissions
It can take a surprising amount of time to get information formatted in html and uploaded so please be kind to your Webmaster and follow these guide-lines:
Submissions by email only.
Links to other web addresses will be checked and the decision to include them rests with the Webmaster.
All information should be original or with the originators permission and attributable, which means I will put your name at the bottom of it but no contact details.
Excerpts of books, maps, journals etc. etc. will not be accepted.
Photos should be kept to less than 120Kb in size. Smaller is better so long as the definition is OK. On occasion a larger image to show fine detail may be required but you will have to make a good case.
Text should be included in the main body of your email from where it can be quickly copied and pasted. Word processor documents or spreadsheets will not be accepted as attachments, it takes too long to pick them apart to put into html.
Zipped documents will not even make it past the firewall and will be silently deleted.
Anything submitted may be edited or formatted as the Webmaster sees fit. If the content is wholly inappropriate you will receive a polite email declining your submission. The Webmaster does not have time to get into long discussions over editing or content.
To submit material for the web pages click the envelope icon and a blank message will open in your email application.
